Wayward Women Madras, Oregon
When the Grandmothers speak, the Earth will be healed
When the Grandmothers pray, Wisdom will be revealed
When the Grandmothers sing, the Earth will be made whole.

WHO WE ARE

The Wayward Women are a group of friends-- well past our childbearing years-- with varying cultural and religious backgrounds and beliefs.

We meet to celebrate life, honor the earth, and enjoy a time of sharing-- when Grandmother Moon is full, and also when Father Sun is announcing a change of season.

By sharing food, laughing together, listening to each other, singing our songs, and caring for one another, we do what women have traditionally joined together to create from time immemorial: Community.

The Earth is our mother, and we realize that, since we are here for but a brief time, we must nurture her.  And we must heal the wounds that mankind inflicts upon her.  The Medicine Wheel is our guide for this work.

We're well on the way to becoming, in the words of Jean Shonoda Bolen, green and juicy crones.

And of course we have lots of fun!
